It has been just over a week since opening the storefront. Our grand opening was really special as we saw many familiar faces from our monthly barn markets and many new faces who were never able to make it to the markets.
Opening this storefront has been an enormous work load, one that my husband, myself, and our team had anticipated but really never knew quite what that would entail. We prepared ourselves as best we could to take on the load of renovations, all of the preparations for opening a brick & mortar, maintaining our online shop, and opening up for daily visitors. Not to mention my most important job of being mom, and spending quality time with my family in the midst of it all.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t exhausted. This venture has pushed me in ways I didn’t think I was capable of, stretching me and growing me stronger and teaching me so much already.
My family is my world. I am so thankful that they get to be in this with me. I am not alone in taking this huge leap of faith. And it really has been a leap for us. We have poured our hearts, souls, blood, sweat and tears into this endeavor. Blessed by many friends and family members along the way, helping us get here, believing in the vision.
I am continually overwhelmed with the emotions of it all. The feelings of complete exhaustion, mixed with so much gratitude for those who have come along side us. Even the support of bloggers, social media creatives, and local influences has really just been an unexpected blessing, one that literally carries us through hard times.

On a more raw and personal level, I have felt so much fear with taking this leap. Like a fire in my chest. It hasn’t been easy for me. It is quite literally scary to jump into the thing we had been dreaming of for over ten years. Believing in our local community to carry us through this new chapter, and believing in God to provide for all of our needs.
My job as mama is my most important priority. Juggling a business has never been easy, and now throwing a storefront into the mix makes for a mama feeling very inadequate. I am working on having grace with myself in this new normal. Change is never easy, and this was a big change for us.
We are trying our best to do things differently. Offering something special to our shoppers, curating a collection of quality made, fair trade items that come from good and meaningful places, because we believe that is what your home deserves. Items that you will love for many years to come, not based on trends. Because a home should have soul, reflecting the life you dream of.
It is important to us to also curate a space that fosters community. A place where people can gather and be creative, dream, and support each other. A space to focus on the good things in life.
I want to take a moment to say thank you to our customers. Your support means so so SO much to us right now. Thank you to those who have come to visit us at the new storefront and shared your experience following us, and reading our journal posts. I truly cannot express how much it means to me.
The shop is looking really beautiful, we have so many wonderful furniture pieces available, special gift items, seasonal goods, and of course all of our best sellers in store (address and hours posted below). We really hope to see you very soon at the new shop, and if you can’t make it out to see us, please visit out online shop where you can find almost all of the same finds from the comfort of your home.
After a decade of finding treasures and sharing them with the world, I can honestly say, the best part is the community we have gained. Thank you for being here.
